Which Tastefully Simple party type is right for you?

The party is really at the heart of Tastefully Simple: getting friends and family together for an evening of food and fun!  But there's a lot more options than just the traditional "pass and sample" party.  Here's a rundown of our party options:
  1. The Tasting Party! Friends and family at your home or a public gathering place
    1. Relax and Savor - You and your guests sit and enjoy a presentation while we pass around individual products for sampling.
    2. Mix and Mingle - This "buffet style" party is more casual, with brief presentations before and after the sampling period.
  2. The Catalog Party! You gather orders from your friends and family
    1. Traditional Catalog Party - You'll have catalogs and order forms that you'll pass around to your friends and family.
    2. Online Party - You can share an online party page with friends and family, and they can place orders online.
    3. Hybrid Catalog Party - You can use both traditional catalogs and order forms plus online ordering to maximize your orders.
  3. The Facebook Party! Your friends and family visit a Facebook event page at a certain date and time and participate in online chat and interactive fun.  Your guests can then order online at the conclusion of the party. The Facebook Party can be combined with a catalog party.
  4. Freezer Meal Workshop - This is a totally different kind of party: a number of guests each pre-purchase a product collection that is used with additional ingredients to prepare a bunch of meals that can be frozen and heated up later.
All of these party options earn the host the same rewards: free products based on party sales and monthly host specials.

So, why do I love my Tastefully Simple business?

Jill Blasack-Strahan, the founder and CEO of Tastefully Simple has put out a challenge to us consultants to help us stretch a little bit in our goal setting and growing our business.  This 21 Day Challenge has been a great opportunity to review a few things, like revisiting my "why" for my business, setting goals that are a little bit out of my comfort range, and breaking down goals into reasonable, achievable chunks.

It's been a great experience, not only looking back on why I started my Tastefully Simple business in the first place, but the wide range of benefits that I've enjoyed.

To give a little background, I joined Tastefully Simple in June 2012.  I had been thinking about it for several months before hand, and had made the decision to join in April or May, but because of my work schedule, June was the best time for me to sign up.  I own another business, one where I work with small businesses to seek out, apply for, and win research and development contracts.  That work is fantastic, but it's not consistent.  I'd work like crazy for one month, and then have nothing going on the next month.  I started my Tastefully Simple business to help even out those low periods, and have a more consistent income over time.

So that was my "why" for starting my business, and at a fundamental level, that hasn't changed in the last two years.  However, there are a ton of other benefits that I didn't see going in.  First, it's unbelievable how many fantastic people I've met, that I would not have had reason to meet otherwise.  My clients and hosts are awesome, and many have become friends. I love that I am able to get out of the house and be social and share our delicious food!

And it's not just my clients; I've met so many Tastefully Simple consultants from around the country that have been an amazing resource.  My local team is awesome, and we're part of the top team in the country!  The support from the company is great too, and there are so many opportunities for training and recognition.  I'm looking forward to meeting many of my fellow "Tastebuds" at our annual conference (Partypalooza!) in August.

So, what do you think?  Do you need a bit of extra income in your budget?  Do you want to stretch yourself and learn and grow?  Do you want to meet fabulous people in your community and around the country?  Email me at tastefullysuek@gmail.com so I can share our business opportunity with you.

Fundraising with Tastefully Simple

Do you have kids in sports, dance, scouts, or band?  Are you part of a PTO? Are you looking to raise money for a cause?  Tastefully Simple can provide you with a simple and delicious fundraising option.

Everyone loves to eat!  And you already know how delicious Tastefully Simple products are, so you know this will be a super fundraiser.  So how does a Tastefully Simple fundraiser work?  I give you the tools to sell, you sell, and I write you a check as a donation to your cause based on the sales you bring in.

We have a lot of options for your fundraiser too:
  1. Online-Only fundraiser - This option is online only, so no distributing catalogs and order forms, and collecting orders and money.  You share the fundraiser link, people buy, and the products are delivered right to the customer.  Because this minimizes my expenses, I will donate 25% of all sales to your organization.
  2. Keep It Simple fundraiser - For this option, we pick a few products and I'll create a sell sheet for you to distribute to your organization.  You collect orders, and the products will be delivered directly to the customers.  Customers may also order from the full product listing online. For this option, I will donate 20% of all sales to your organization.
  3. Full Catalog fundraiser - For this option, I will provide you with full catalogs and order forms for you to distribute within your organization. You collect orders, and the products will be delivered directly to the customers.  Customers may also order from the full product listing online. For this option, I will donate 15% of sales for sales totals under $1000 and 20% of sales for sales totals over $1000 to your organization.
I will also donate an additional $10 for every tasting party booked by someone supporting your fundraiser. As a bonus, all fundraisers are treated like parties, and as the "party host", the organization is eligible for host rewards.  You can use these host rewards to purchase products for free to create raffle baskets for additional fundraising! If this looks like a delicious option for your organization, please call me at 978-549-2019, or email me at tastefullysuek@gmail.com so we can start planning your fundraiser!
